Question about available cars.. I'm new.

Good day everyone. I just got the PS2 and GT3 yesterday for xmas. I am a devout fan of GT1 and GT2, and noticed one problem. When I go and shop for cars, there are almost NONE available! I know there are less cars, but for instance, there is only 1 car available in Dodge, the viper. Where are the Neons and such? Another is the Mercedes Bens. There are like 1 or 2 cars available there. Are there really that few cars, or are they unlocked as I win more races?

Complete the arcade mode! This will unlock more cars available for purchase, but this does not make additional cars appear in the show rooms.

To be honest, the best way to get cars is by wining them from races. You can check out the Prize Car List here:
