Question about 'backfire' and a vid

Hi there,

Just a quick question. Does anyone know if there is 'backfire' animation or anything like that in GT5P?

Also, just found this video of a new game called 'Grid'. Never heard of it or seen it before. Maybe old new but worth a look. Visuals seem to be on par with GT5P, don't know about anything else though. Looks pretty arcadish, but have a look at the hi-res vid and see for yourself!!

yea ive been watching that for a while looks cool but i am worried it is going down the NFSPS route, and we dont need 2 of those! They need to take it back to its roots, as in TOCA! Good physics, proper touring cars etc....we dont need another drift game!
 
Yes TOCA seems to be following the "in" crowd with the flashy imports and drifting but hopefully it want spoil the series.

yea, hopefully is the key word, it will be a shame because it sounds like they have a great career mode in the works!
 
Sorry, I didn't realize that 'Grid' was part of the TOCA series!!Oops! Just saw the video and title really quick.

Now that I know that, I am a little dissapointed. It does have an 'NFS' look to it. I thought it was an 'NFS' type game that had a 'TOCA' look to it!!!!! I really enjoyed the last ones and I sure hope that they stick to more of the race simulator style. I can't stand those goofy arcade drifter games!

Still looking for some info on the 'Backfire' question?? anyone?

Answer to your question would be no. Amar212 has mentioned this in his thread somewhere i think...try searching for it in that thread
