Question about Coupons and Used Cars

Well, I don't really understand this, but supposedly, you use a Coupon and it does what it does. Restore body rigidity, change oil, etc. But after I bought the DOME-Concept Zero, I used the one for restore engine AND chassis and it worked. I made a test race with it and after I got into GT Auto again, the prices werre still there, the same amount!!! A bug, maybe? :nervous:

Also, if I just bought a recently used car, with Oil in a good condition, and almost 0 Km and everything, and the game still reccomends me to do an Engine Overhaul, it means it is NOT good to race?

The price always depends on the car. Dont worry about that.

You will not need an Engine Overhaul unless they have a lot of mileage on them. I'd say to give the cars Engine Overhauls if the car has something like 20,000 km on it. You'll only really need to do it if it's actually important to you.

Yes, I also thought the same about the engine overhaul, But i assume it's a default option for used cars, because I raced some cars for quite a bit of time and they didn't ask for a overhaul, and yet in used cars doesn't matter if they have 1 Km on them, they still ask. And sometimes quite a lot.

and I think you didn't understood the first question, just to clarify, let's say the DOME had a 45.000 engine overhaul price. I used the coupon, didn't want to spend money. Went into the track, ran a little, got out, went there again and it was still there, the 45.000 engine overhaul.

Believe me, it's always dependent on the car. If you were to do do an Engine Overhaul back to back the price will be the same, and it will tell you that it's in good condition, which won't allow you to perform the Engine Overhaul.

As soon as you drive 10 meters in a fresh car, you can go and do an engine overhaul, it doesn't mean that it's necessary! And the price is half the price of the car, unless it's a prize car or worth over 1mil credits, then I'm not sure.
But it will let you do it no matter if you have done 10 meters, or 10000 km's!
Hope that helps a little

What he means is once he uses it he thinks it will be free for that car forever.

Unfortunatly the answer is no. They are 1 use only.

Stupid thing in Gt5 ... you rebuild your body... do only 1 lap , perfectly... no crash, no contact with nothing and it will told you to do the body aagain and for full price again... very stupid... the cost should adjust with real reparations cost with crashes you did ... so you do one race perfectly no repair cost... you hit an other car and scratch your paint 2000$ , you do an other races and crash in the wall 15000$ ... so money to repair.. ok race with it but performance should be bad and crash again so it will add other cost for repairs... many games had that system in 1999 loll... Gt5 don't seem to understand that.

:odd::dunce: chuckle-chuckle That's wrong for so many reasons.

First of all, use proper grammar. Second, you're making something so small and alkmost completely pointless and turning it into something serious. License agreements/rules will prevent this sort of thing from happening. Damage is already limited by them.

Where's the moderation team when you need it...

Besides your AUP violations your post seems to be pointless, why acting like this is a serious problem? As soon as you drive a car in GT5 you have the option to repair it, it doesn't make the car any better or something if you do, it just brings your car back to previous standards when it's worn out after driving a long time. The price always keeps the same and is determined by taking percentages of the original price. So what?

And tell us one example of a game using that system since 1999, please.

Heed for speed High Stakes... sorry for my bad english lol
