Question About Licenses

Do you really gain anything from getting gold on the licenses? I started off trying to gold all of them but after awhile I started getting bored and just moved onto the next one if I got bronze or even silver. So I'm just wondering what is the point of them?
 
For Gold you get more xp. points. I think that's about it. Not 100% though. I've got half silver half gold. Haven't attempted S License yet though.

They're just another challenge in the game, I go back and do them and try to turn my silver into gold when I get bored of racing. It's just something to break up the game a bit like the special events.

Like any challenge you can take it or leave it, I too blew threw the first 24 levels as well as acquiring all the licenses and didn’t care what it took to get to the next license and then I was done. I then had a certain understanding of what was expected if you wanted to strive for perfection for your own satisfaction. I then started the game over again and went for all Gold’s. Yah it’s frustrating and redundant but when you pull it off it’s empowering on a personal level.
