Hi all, I sent a car painted with GT Chrome 007-W to my alternate account and when I opened it I received the paint chip Dk Gunmetal metallic. I thought that might be because I didn't have the GT Chrome paints in that account but when I sent the car back to my main account, guess what, same chip??? Why is that? Is there no way to dupe these paints? If so, that's a shame, one time use only? I don't remember where these paints come from, a dlc I guess; I thought we could now share dlc stuff between accounts after downloading the updates from the PSN store.

I think that applies to purchases made after that update, not before. I could be wrong though.

As for the swatch names, not really sure on that.

Hey Hippie! I see you running GT5 night and day! LOL! You're racing your Bobs or you never take a rest?

Its idle 95% of the time on the main screen playing those montages. TV isn't always on either, before you ask

Should also say, every Sony console I've owned has had GT forced upon them in this manner. I remember pausing races only either for bed, or school. It may of taken a week to finish a really long race, but they were always completed. The only result is that I still own all those consoles, and the disc's are surprisingly still intact. Complete with fingerprints. I'm always signed into PSN as well, which is something that we obviously didn't have back then.

LOL! You should ask Sony to pay you for testing so hard their consoles, you would have just to write some little reports every once in a while.:)

Edit: Sorry mods for the chat, I'd still appreciate some more replies though.

It's because when you send a car you get the original paint chip, not the one you painted it. So you cannot dupe the DLC chips.

So that means the only way to dupe a paint is to send and restore save, I mean there's no way to get a paint chip by receiving a painted car, is that it?

No, you cannot receive a paint chip from a painted car, unless the car was originally that colour.
