Last week, my friend bought GT5 and updated it to the v1.06 patch. He asks if any updates from earlier patches are also included in the v1.06 patch, so it would be like downloading all the patches in one go, instead of starting at v1.01 and moving up to the latest patch.

Responses are welcome. :)

some things from 1.05 will be included.however the 1.05 also had the coding for the extra prize credits (cos they upped the credit rewards during january). Someone please tell me if I'm wrong im just going by experience. But as far as I'm aware, everything that should be in GT5 at the minute can be obtained from the 1.06 (maybe 1.07 now) patch.unless he had to do 1.06 and 1.07 afterwards. I doubt they would overlook something like that.

For any console game, it updates automagically to most recent version.

It's either smart enough to download and install all the patches at once, or there are multiple versions of each patch. Either way, if you go buy a copy of GT and drop it in your PS3 it will update to the same 1.07 as everyone else.

I hope this is the place for my question, and sorry to hijack your thread (but it has been answered :P). Here goes: If I had update 1.05 of GT5 and disconnected from internet and didnt update to 1.06, wud i still be able to recieve the extra credit bonuses? or is it on a timer linked to the ps3?
