Hi Folks,

yesterday I signed a one-year-membership for Playstation Plus.

Right after the start of GT5, the game asked me if I like to save/load my savegame directly into/out of the cloud. I said "no".

Later I changed my mind and wanted to activate this option, but I couldn't find any point in the options menu.

Even with a older savegame (from USB-stick) I was never asked the question again. So I am unable to use this feature now.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks!

Go on GT5 game on XMB menu and press Δ (triangle)👍

That should work all games :)

Before I asked my question here, I wrote to Sony Customer Support. Today they gave me the same answer as JK83.

I tried it and noticed that the PS3 is now loading the savegame into the cloud during the auto-update time-frame (in my case 02:00 - 04:00 during night).

But the option I meant in my initial post was something different. It was directly in the GT5 game, not in the XMB. After the first start after entering GT-mode, the game said more or less the following:

"GT5 is one of the games, which is able to load (and save) your savegame directly from (and into) your PSN online storage. Do you like to activate this option?"

As I interpret this message, GT5 is able to handle the savegame without accessing the harddisk. And I would like to re-activate this option, but I can't.

Anyone experienced the same?

Selecting yes would of told the game to do what JK83 said to do, so you wouldn't have to do it yourself. You're not missing out on anything.

You might want to rethink this auto save thing. When you say yes to this it also downloads demo/trial versions of other games too, could fill up your HHD if you don't have a lot of space. What I do is use a USB stick to keep a backup on and download to "plus" about once a week. When backing up to "plus" I get a lot of failure to uploads sometimes it takes several tries to get it to upload. Also watch out for the auto "back up" that the PS3 does now, this back up is done when you start each game only. Check the time on the "back up", if you buy several cars or do a lot of races these will not be on the "back up" save, what I do here is after I quit playing the game I'll reload it so the "back up" will be up to date.
The only drawback to saying no that I can see is if the game has an up date when your ready to play the game you will have to wait for it to up date.
