OK, I started my first series race last night, but I didn't have time to do all of them. When I exited, it asked me if I wanted to retire from the championship.

I understand that you can run them individually, for no points, to practice.

But if you start a points series of, say 10 races, do you have to run all 10 in one sitting? I sure hope not... because I want them to be challenging, and it takes a long time when you can't just start from the back and run away from the field.

TIA...

if u want a prize car or championship bonus, choose to run the series race (10 in a row, not singly). after you finish each race, there is an option to save your game. when u load your saved game, it will take you right to the championship race. so u dont have to do them all in one sitting.

if u want to exit out of a particular race, and not the whole series, simply enter the race and exit out at the starting line. you get 0 pts, however.

just save after every race in a series and you can reload your save and it will load the current series you're currently runnig after the last race you've ran. hit next and you're ready to continue racing!

Yes, I think it is the first choice you have immediately after each race. Wait, not NEXT, but the Save option. That will let you save after that race, so you can load and start right back at that screen.

OK, thanks, guys. I must have missed the Save option between races. To quit, do I go through the normal exit -exit -exit routine, or do I just switch off the PS2 right from that screen? Thanks for the replies.

by "quitting" do u mean not racing the last couple races, because u are far ahead in points? if so, then enter the race, and press the start button and exit the race. if u exit from the screen that says "next, replay, save, options, etc" you will exit the whole series and essentially finish last.

is that what u meant?

No, I want to race the whole series, but not in one shot, since I usually don't pick up the controller until about 11 pm. I don't really mind running the races with nothing else in between, but maybe I want to run only 2 or 3 a night.

So I guess I should save and then just turn off the PS2 from the "next replay save options" screen? Thanks.

Yeah, you can just turn off the PS2 after you save. Make sure you are saving the game's progress, and not the race replay. I know that the Save, the one you want, doesn't have any periods .... after the word. You will like how convenient this feature is. It will become really handy when you get to the Pro League. Have fun now!!!!
