Hey everyone.
The first shirt has a non-detachable collar and therefore, it is not appropriate for formal occasions. Can it still be worn with a waistcoat and lounge suit? Like this...
Obviously, this guy also doesn't have a detachable collar, and although the image is quite old. It should still be relevant today.
The second shirt has a detachable collar and detachable cuffs and looking at the height of the collar, I would assume that it is supposed to go with a frock suit...
Can the first shirt, which is less formal and more work-oriented, be used with a necktie, waistcoat, and single-breasted suit? Or is this fashionably "incorrect"? Also, can the second shirt be used with a morning and evening suit, which if I am not mistaken, is more formal than an ordinary frock suit?
I want to wear my brown fedora hat with the first shirt, but other resources say that I shouldn't because the fedora hat is supposed to go with a sack suit which is also called a lounge suit in England. Unfortunetly, I don't own a sack suit so is it correct to wear the fedora hat without a suit and waistcoat?
Personally, I don't get why it has to be so complicated but I love the design of the fedora hat and I really feel that the first shirt goes with the fedora hat quite well.
Thanks.
