Question about Sierra

I just Golded Race # 3 with 1.4 million points. I ran a clean race...no collisions, no leaving track, hitting wall, etc.
I noticed at the end of the race when the friends points are listed, some have over 2.4 million points ??

How did they manage to almost double my score ?
confused...
 
By being faster.

The amount of time you have remaining at the end and the number of opponents you pass are included in the score. The faster you are, the more you'll score for both of these things.
 
I passed all 17 cars ( I didn't see any more during the latter part of the race). Don't remember how much time I had left, but Double the points awarded ??
I'll try again at a faster pace but I thought I was really putting down some good times. Thanks
 
I've noticed a Countach tward the end of the race that i just can't catch up to. That M3 is tough too.
 
All 17? I think I passed about 26 on my attempt...

Don't go assuming you've passed every car.
 
26 ???? that explains it. About 2/3 into the race, I passed No. 17 and never saw another one. mmm, may have to give it a few more tries.
 
Watch a replay and pause as it starts, then use photomode to work your way through the cars ahead of you. (I can't imagine anyone actually doing this due to the obscene amount of time it would surely take, but it's an idea.) I don't recall how many I passed but I know I was up there a ways.
