I wanted to know if this game uses a standard controller or if you can use the Wiimote with its motion sensor in the game. My wife has wanted a Wii and we finally got her one. She wants to find games that use that ablity of the Wii. She likes the Zelda games so I am asking whether or not This version does.

Yes, it uses the motion controls.

In reality, most games designed for the Wii use the motion controls, not always well, but they use them.

The real problem comes along when you realize a game would be better with a traditional controller control setup, but doesn't. Super Mario Galaxy would be the one that sticks out in my mind the most. Zelda worked well even though sword fighting was really just waggle, and nothing very intuitive.

I guess for me that if they can't make the motion controls actually mimic at least somewhat the movements of the action you are performing on screen it could work as well, or better, with a traditional setup.

That's a bit more info than you wanted, but there you go.

Not at all, In fact thats the perfect answer. The wife wanted the Wii for a variety of reasons. One of those being that the motion sensing would be a way to get our son more interested in the games because he could move around. When we got him a DS we found that the DS is really all the gaming he really needs. Everything else now is icing for the cake. When I got Warhawk, he immediately got interested in the PS3 and plays the crap out of it when he can. The Wii is a good call because he does like its style of game play. Incidentally he hates it with the PS3. When he plays Warhawk I have to go in and change the settings because I use the motion sensing to control the vehicle movements, and I use pro flight mode.

My wife also like the style of gaming that comes wit the Wii so any games that involve that much physical input makes it more fun for her.
