So I placed 1st in the first two races. Things were going good in the first 15 laps of cote d'azur until my brother barged in on me and blocked the tv. I went into a spin out that could very much leave me in last place with no chance to come back... (currently paused at the moment) I had the game suspend the race before going into the third race so it saved my championship data from there. If I turn off the ps3 now, will I be able to restart the third race?

I don't think so. I think it saves a new save saying you have resumed the championship.

Try to fight your way back. You could be able to recover many positions and salvage a strong points finish. But it's a championship and you already have two firsts, so you could easily win with a bad finish or two. Bad luck is part of motorsport. Just deal with it, do your best, and win the championship anyway.

You don't get any special prize for golding all the races. You just need to win the points battle. You can come back and win the race later, too, when you're not in the championship battle.

Sorry for the bad luck, though. That's a very challenging track in an F1 car.

I did this before the mid race saves ... golded the first two then started so horribly at Monaco that I quit the race and took zero points ... golded the rest, and still won the championship. A few days later I went back and golded Monaco.

Just finish Monaco, take whatever points you get and win the rest of the races and you'll win the championship. Monaco is the hardest one.

I did similar but didn't race Suzuka, as it was lashing it down. Had to start the race, since quitting out before starting would have just quit the championship. I wouldn't like to leave Monaco, though, since at least it's always dry. Best to just get back in and do your best, after you're done punishing your brother, that is.

What if you:
- did a race
- saved it in between
- used the exit game promt
- backed up data to memory card
- go back and resume event
- if the race goes bad go back to xmb and reload data from card

It seems like it should work.

Yes this works, after the first 2 F1 races I did this and it works just fine.
