Question about torque

Ok, theres one thign i don't understand in the game. When the cars in your garage it doesn't say how much torque your car has... like the numbers will be totally whack. I bought a RGT and the torue on the specs at the showroom said around 270 i lb/ ft but in the garage it's way off the numbers are way smaller you know what i mean? could someone please answer my question?
 
Yes, it's long been noted, that PD flubbed the conversion. A simple misplaced decimal in a formula and they didn't catch it in the QA check.

Have no fear, your RGT does indeed have the torque it should

Yes. PD screwed up the units in regionalisation.

The numbers quoted in your garage are actually kgm (the metric equivalent of lbft - note pound feet, not pounds per foot), even thought the screen says lbft.

To convert roughly, multiply by 7.

To convert accurately, multiply by 7.231.
 
YOU GUYS R THE BEST I DONNO WHY I DIDNT POST HERE B4..... oh wait... cuz i didn't know how.... expect me to be involved in the daily conversations people!! i dont get how you all have all golds in the "S" licenses .... but damn... i aint that good.... i donno :S anyhow much respekt ... thanks guys
