So in engine tuning, for instance, there is stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3. Say I was to buy stage 3 off the bat, would that mean the car's engine performance is maxxed out? Does skipping on stage 1 and 2 mean you don't get to the maximum level of performance?

Basically if I was to buy stage 3 off the bat would the power in the car be the same as if I was to buy stage 1, then 2, then 3?

Thanks.

If it's like weight reduction, etc. in the past, you didn't have a choice but to go 1-2-3. You couldn't just jump straight to 3. If, however, it's like the differential, you could just go right to level 3 at which point you should be at the exact same performance as buying them separately.

But not having the game in hand that's purely speculation.

In GT4, the NA tuning was not like weight reduction. If you did stage 1 then 2 then 3 you would end up with the same power as going straight to stage 3.

Bumping is not allowed.
