Hello!! I just found this forum and decided to join. Anyway, I've been drifting (or at least trying) in GT3 for awhile... My crowning achievement is drifting completely around the first turn in Laguna Seca and drifting completely around the last turn in SS5 (wet)

Anyway, I was wondering if someone could give me tips on how to drift that REALLy tight turn on SS5 (the 3 or 4th to last turn.) I always have trouble getting enough traction before that turn 'cause I accelerate up the slight incline and then when I try to drift I always either spin out or hit a wall. :(

Welcome to GTPlanet JrunkenC

i recomend you practice your throttle control
check your setup make sure your car isnt way overpowered for that wet track and dont keep it flat on the throttle
i used to have the same problem (that was awhile ago now)

i think if you got the FC RX7 and used Cudaman's settings it will be easier

I have a dirft lap of ssr5 wet complete with music and settings if you have MSN or AIM I can send it to you if you want.

what you should do, is go thru the turn a few times and find the ideal speed to take that turn with. ie midfield raceway, first turn i usually take at about 70 to 74

exactly how i figure out how to drift corners. i usually drive through them and see how much speed is usually needed.

humm let me guess, your drifting with sim tires, because when i read about ur HP its so low, but its alright, but watch my video, i think i have some long drifting in there too that shows the speed and the gas i think, but watch it ok, and its all done in SS tire

sims in da rain isn't dat bad. u just need to be a bit more fluid with ur movements. any sudden movements will just end in a spin, esp in RWD cars

i have no problem drifting in the wet with sims
