Question for Blackberry folks

I've been seeing the commercials a lot (as I'm sure many of you have), and I've been reading great things on the web about as far as CNet on the new Storm. Thus, I'm thinking of returning my Krav (it's decided it wants to never turn on again) since I still have 30 days left on the return policy. Afterwards, I'm hoping Verizon will then let me reserve a BB Storm.

So, my question is for all you Blackberry owners, and users. Do you like it, and just how far does the series itself, set it apart from everyone else? I know a lot of people have major respect for Blackberries, and one of my friends has been moving through them for quite a long time now.

What are your pros & cons, basically, about the phones?

Interesting thought, and I'd love to hear what other people think too. I'm in the market for a smart phone within the next three weeks, and I'm already leaning towards the HTC Touch Diamond (Sprint).

The only things I know about the Storm, in reference to the OP, is that its supposed to be the only handset that comes anywhere close, maybe nearly topping, the iPhone. My only worry would be about the sticker price and how much/often Verizon would be looking to rape you with service charges.

Well, I'm not too worried about the cost. I talked to Verizon today, and they are supposedly going to extend my 30 day return way to the 27th, and then will exchange my Krave for the Storm. According to them, my plan will only go up $10 a month which means I'll probably be paying $65 a month. No biggie.

My son has an older model Blackberry thru T-mobile.
It is a piece of garbage. He does get his e-mail semi-reliably, but it seems to be lousy for texts and regular phone use.
But if you must go with the touch screen, get a bluetooth headset.
Cause your ear touching the screen while you're on the phone, may cause...issues.

That isn't too bad, but how many minutes is that for? Unlimited data too?

I think Sprint charges $69.99 for unlimited texts, data and 450 minutes on Blackberry users and all other smart phones. I think you can crank it down and add a $30 data plan on top of a $30 minute plan (unlimited texts, as I recall, are $15)... So basically, they make you pay no matter what.

250 minutes, I believe, and yes, with unlimited text, data, etc.

Its funny, because I'm the same way about Verizon. I diddled with them for two years, and immediately after my contract was up, I GTFO'ed. They've kept me pretty happy, I can get calls in most places where Verizon users can't, so I'll likely end up sticking with them for another two years. I think my only complaint with Sprint is that they keep thinking that they're running the show, when truth be told, most of the stuff is pouring into AT&T or Verizon first.

Must be our separate regions, then. I get service pretty much anywhere with AT&T or Verizon. Sprint, though, played games.
