Hi, i pretty new to all this racing stuff GT5 since Xmas. Now ice just got hold of a DFGT and confused somewhat onthe settings as no instructions came with it. So my question is Amature/Professional or simulater ?. What are the best or reccomeneded settings for force feedback. Also any other advice would be gratefully received.

Many thanks.

If I remember correctly (I could be wrong) those settings do not apply to the DFGT. They only apply to the highlighted wheels.

I use-
FFB- 4

I also re-map some of my button settings, but all of that is personal preference.

Maybe its changed but yes i can select all settings, Hence the questions.

Nope, you can choose those settings with the DFGT. I have mine on "Simulation" with a feedback setting of 5 and buttons reassigned to suit me better.

What are the differences between simulation professional and amature please.

Not at home so cannot try at the moment.

Until confirmation can be found, I still think those settings (amateur, Professional, Simulation) do not apply to the DFGT or DFP wheels, hence those wheels being grayed out when selecting these settings, the Power Assist and FFB then highlight the DFGT and DFP and not the others.

Well for the second time they are available on the DFGT at least on mine anyways. I have settled for simulation with FFB at 4 and power assist set to on.
There are 2 tabs one is for the first 2 wheel settings highlighted and the next tab below opens up and highlights the other 3 settings. Yes they are all usable and R1600turbo also confirms this.

I tried each setting when I got home and there is no difference between the 3 settings with the DFGT, yes you can change it but it does nothing.

It says at the bottom when on the ''realism'' tab that it is for the last 3 wheels (forget what they are called, with blue handles).

FFB @ 7 for me, power assist off, wheel type set to simulation (could be a placebo effect, but it works for me.....). I also remap the lame shifter on the side so that minus (downshift) is reverse, and plus (upshift) is e-brake.

Good idea, I never thought of that. Makes sense since I don't use the shifter and pressing the triangle just feels wrong. Thanks for the idea.

It's not that they're available or not -- Next time you're in the options menu look carefully, and notice how there are small pictures of the supported wheels. When selecting some of them, some wheels will be grayed out and some will be highlighted. If the wheel is grayed out, that option is irrelevant to that wheel. The steering type does nothing to the DFGT or DFP wheels.
