Question for Fanatec CS Shifter owners

I've just ordered a Fanatec clubsport shifter and I'm about to order a baseplate from monstertech.de for their table mounts for it.

I'd like to know this: when the stick is in a forward position (eg. third gear) how far does the front of the shift knob extent out in front of the edge of the base? I need to know how much clearance to ask them to provide between the front of the base of the shifter and the vertical part of the mount.

From looking at pictures I'd guess the answer is "it doesn't" but I'd like to be sure.

You are correct: the front of the shift knob does not extend out in front of the edge of the base. However, with your hand on the knob, your knuckles will break the plane of the edge of the base. How much will depend on the size of your hand.
