So I know the performance parts are unlocked through reputation points, but I don't know how you unlock customization parts for the cars. Whenever I buy a new car, it just shows almost all panels as locked and states no parts are available.

Does anyone know how to unlock these and get customization parts?

P.S - I'm like 95% through the story, so I assume by now I should have unlocked them if they were from reputation points.

But how would you unlock the customization parts for those cars? For example, one of the BMW's I own can't be changed at all. Literally only the splitter and spoiler - that obviously isn't everything that can be customized on it, because BMW's in general, in any game, are pretty open for customization + i've seen screenshots of them with body kits etc. I have none of them unlocked. I don't know how to unlock stuff?

The body kit option is the one right on top of the car. It should be unlocked if you are that far from the game.

Oh I know, but I mean in general. Say I buy a new car, and want to do the rear fenders, spoiler, taillight, etc. Almost all my cars don't have these options unlocked. They're locked and says no parts available. I'm wondering how to unlock the parts individually.

Hm, I guess. That's just dumb. They advertise all this customization but it's limited to certain cars. Bit cheap and disappointing.

You've bought cars with very little customisation.

No parts available = car doesn't have parts at all.

Seems like a large portion of the cars don't have customization parts then. Bought a few cars now and most of them say there's no parts available.

Unfortunately trailer was over exaggerated, majority of the cars lack parts, haven't seen a car where lights can be changed, EA up to their usual tricks

Yup. That's the game. Ghost/EA decided it would be a good idea to sell the game based on the depth of it's customization when really it's pretty appalling in that department. There are more modification options on most of the cars in GTA V than in Need for Speed.

I'd say it's still pretty solid. And there seem to be some cars not known for their real-world customization options that still get a lot of parts, like the BMW i8 or the Koenigsegg Regera. When it especially comes to the older cars, there can be a lot of options, and I'd say most of the modern cars have a decent variety of options, too. And AFAIK the only cars that don't have options have variants that do have options. For example, the P1 GTR can't have anything done to it aside from the wrap and wheels, but there's also the regular P1, too. Same thing in regards to the R35 GT-R Nismo and the more typical GT-R R35.

You guys realize this thread was originally about NFS 2015, right?

NFS Heat does seem to have more options on average, and of course a larger car list to begin with. And you don't have to unlock customization parts.

Most of those cars aren't in Need for Speed 2015 ;)
