I was dumb enough to take a gran torismo car which of course has no head lights. After 5 hours it got dark and is REALLY hard to see in parts. I did pull a eight lap lead in the first 5 hours, but does anyone know when it turns to day light again or Im going to start over I dont want to waste my time. I really dont want to start over. Im having to use my controler which makes it harder cause my brother is fixing my pedals right now.

Also what times do the R8 CPU times turn cause right now I went from pulling consistant 3:10 and lower to 3:45

Not sure exactly what time it gets light again, but in order to not waste the 5 hours you have already spent on it, you could just try and tailgate one of the quicker AI cars to minimise the time loss in the dark. Use their headlights and brake lights for direction and braking points. If you stuff up and lose that car, just wait for the next one to catch up.

may be able to adjust the ev and brightness levels in the pause menu - that may help you pick some details ahead - at a guess.

Ya I tried that it didnt do crap, thanks for the idea though

As has been said, follow someone. As a veteran of many night Nurburgring kart races, I can say it also helps to turn the minimap up to massive size, to show you whether or not you are on the track, and what position you are in on the track. Those options should be in the start menu during a race.

What sort of screen are you running? Try reduce contrast(not too far) and increase brightness.

From memory it goes dark at 5 hours then light at 13 hours.

I too did the 24 hours in the Formula car but had selected driving line on which made it easy to drive in total darkness (shame you can not switch it on and off from the pause quick options) The sun usually comes up around the 13 hours.

I have the race line on luckily!!!!!!! Otherwise I would be screwed and would have started over after 5 hours. Im now at 8hrs 20 mins and have a seven lap lead on the either R8 or R10, can tell, but I lost a lap with in the past two hours and its not getting easier so when im not worried if it gets sunny out with 11 hours to go I can kick ass.

Im now at 11 hours and have learned the track so well in the dark you should race every track in the pitch black with just the race line, I not only gained back my lap from the R8, but pulled away another 2, so far lets hope it doesnt rain, the gran torismo car sucks in the rain, or maybe its my setup, but I can't race it in the rain at all!!

It won't go light until 13 hours in so just play with your TV settings.
