I figured I'd grab one of the less powerful base-model cars, since they already have key parts installed, which in turn saves you a bit of cash...I chose the Toyota 86 base-model, but then I found out that the suspension is not so customizable (a few settings are "locked in". Are all of the base models set up like this?

Good question, I can't say for all of the base models but certainly the GTR GT-3 has no suspension adjustment unless you buy the kit for it.

I don't think you CAN buy the kit since it is already equipped...as for the car I HAD (yes, I ditched it ) the camber, toe, and arb settings were "locked in", meaning those settings are permanent. Otherwise, you have the ability to buy/install needed parts directly from your garage, rather than going to the tune shop to do that.

I doubt they are all like that, when you buy any GT-R GT3 (or have the anniversary edition), the suspension and transmission are locked unless you buy the appropriate parts. The Toyota is like that because the car is actually a stock GT86 with a few race parts on it.

The BM cars are essentially just cars that you can paint any color you want and give it it's own number.

If I recall correctly, the 86 GT Base Model is the only base model like that actually.
