I've read that alot of people have put it on anything from Rovers, to Holdens, to Jaguars (XKR had one stock I believe along with the 2003/2004 Mustang Cobras).

So my question is, anyone you know put one of these superchargers on an LS1? I'm going the supercharging route on my Camaro when I get an LS1 stuffed in it, and I prefer roots/screw type superchargers mostly because of the noise they make.

You should also prefer them because they have very minute to no lag compared to a centrifugal supercharger. But then you should hate them because--at least to my knowledge--it takes a whole car company to figure out how to intercool it (ask Cadillac and Ford).

Anyway, I don't see any problem with s'charging your Camode. If it doesn't fit, have someone make a custom hat/adaptor thing for your intake. Or do they already have a charger designed for your application? Or do they even make application-specific superchargers?

That's the one reason why I chose to use a screw/roots style S/C because of the lack of lag. I can't seem to find anyone who's used this (or another roots style S/C) on an LT1 or LSx...everyone uses ProChargers...which I'll take a pass on. Why do something everyone else does? Sounds boring to me. :sly:

Check out MagnaCharger, they make low profile kits for the GTO.

Although, have you thought about doing a remote (rear) turbo install? No fabrication is needed, and it sounds cool. http://www.ststurbo.com/

Check out that sound!

I like turbos and all but I just don't want to do a turbo setup on my Camaro. That Trans-Am sounds sick!

I wonder what one of those squires turbo setups would be like on a volveo240..

That turbo is wicked!

Yea pretty much all supercharger setups I see on LS engines are centrifugal, but I have seen a LS1 fitted with a fairly low profile eaton type supercharger, I just can't remember where.

I would reccomend a Vortec. They're Chevy-oriented, but even made a 465hp Mustang that outran the GT500, by quite a margin (11.9) back in '02 or '03.

Yeah, but no torque.

And I don't think a Vortech is Chevy oriented, it's basically a 5.0 performance standby.

Vortech S/C's are centrifugal force aren't they? If I'm going S/C I prefer roots/screw S/C's.
