Question relating to the Driving Force GT

I know when you exist the game the wheel 'calibrates' itself (spins) or when you turn off the PS3.

When I was playing the game yesterday night I simply pulled the USB cable from the PS3 without this calibration, because I couldn't wake up the rest of the house.

Is this bad? Should I be worried that this may damage or mess up my wheel? Or is it perfectly to repeat this process?
 
it should be fine.

I turn on my controller and simply unplug the power supply just to make sure it won't auto calibrate by accident.
 
dont know. but what i do know is that my DFGT developed a strange judder during calibration after about 3 months. called logitech told them I what was up, asked for proof of purchase, they sent me a new wheel, no questions asked.
