I have 3 questions/problems about my T500

1) when it calibrates when starting F1 2011, the wheel stops (sometimes) not in the middle, but a little towards the left. is it normal?
I think its the game but i am not sure. becaus i have it only at F12011. And i had the same whit my DFGT on F12010.

2) When it calibrates. It don't go fast anymore. It turns the wheel full to the left & right like always. but now it take a small pause when it change direction.
So first it turns to the left, wait a few seconds and turns to the right wait a few seconds and turns to back to the left. Normally it does not take any pause.
Is it broken?

3) I only use the wheel for PS3. So does it need a firmware update? if yes, how?

1. Plug it into USB port 1 and make sure the wheel is assigned to controller #1. Also it's wise to keep the firmware up-to-date.

2. The pause is normal. It registers the values at that point in time.

3. Updating the firmware is easy. Just download the latest driver from the Thrustmaster website for the T500 RS and install it. The latest firmware with update software is always included with the latest driver.
After the installation plugin the wheel into your pc. Of course make sure the pedals are attached before doing so.
Then go to Start > Programs > Thrustmaster > Firmware Updater. And click Update firmware.

2. Its just the pause was not so long before. But ok it still works fine.

3. So the only thing i have to do is. take the USB cable out the PS3 and put it in my laptop/pc? and use the update thingy.

Well you. Could contact Thrustmaster support if you feel uncomfortable with the pause. But first I'd advice to update the firmware to see if this solves the issues.
The updating process indeed does not require more then that.

I did the update but it already had the latest version, tested all buttons. everything looks ok.

Then i used the firmware update. and install was successful. The wheel seems to calibrate like it used to be...👍 everything should work now, thx :)
