I'm not one who sits in front of the television for 20 hours a day watching the news coverage of the war constantly so I have a question.

Are we at war with the entire country of Iraq, or what? I thought that we were at war with Saddam Hussein, and his army/followers.:odd: I thought that if we were at war with the entire country we'd be killing civilians as well, and wiping out damn near anything, and everything.

Also, if we are in fact at war with the entire country of Iraq...why the hell is the war being called, "War in Iraq," and, "Operation Iraqi Freedom?"

Blah.

“I sincerely hope your father is injured in combat and captured by the Iraqi military as a POW. Additionally, I hope his captors disregard the Geneva Convention and repeatedly torture him… sexually assault him… and then publicly execute him.”

The guy who sent me that in a PM at a different forum better hope that I never meet him face to face.:irked: I seriously want to go and kill him right now. Stupid ****ing piece of ****.:(

Woah, what an inane piece of royal ****. I sincerely hope your dad is fine and comes home safe..

That dude is just a lame piece of ****ing ****. **** **** *****.

You're right in your first judgement... the purpose of the war is to disarm Saddam, otherthrow his government, and bring freedom to the Iraqi people. (At least that's how I understand it).

Well,.... it was an extremely devious an discusting remark,.. but what can you do? If you get upset, all your doing is making his mission easier.

Obviously, no rational human would make such a remark, he's either mentally incopasitated or too young to realize the magnitude of his remarks. Take it with a grain of salt,... as bad as it sounds.

BTW,... having Nazi propaganda in your avatar wont win you much compassion ;)

Thanks for answering my serious question you ass.

Dictionary.com's definition of propaganda: information that is spread for the purpose of promoting some cause. It's a picture of a Eric Cartman, a cartoon character, dressed as Hitler. How the hell is that spreading information for the purpose of promoting a cause?

I posted it because I was pissed. Not for compassion. Thanks for the assumption, though.

I know the definition thank you. And you forgot this part - also : a public action having such an effect

BTW,.... how in the hell did you end up as a mod? Your the best example I've ever seen of how NOT to act if your a mod.

How could I forget something that wasn't even there on the page?!

I couldn't care less what you think of me. Like I tell others that feel the same way as you...if you have a problem with the way I mod, or conduct myself on these forums, take it up with Jordan.

Yes, Yes and then get some oil.

All the get some oil dudes need to do the math.
Simple the cost of containing Saddam for the last 12 years plus the current cost not counting lives only money, of the war and the rebuilding of the country of Iraq etc. will far exceed the value of Iraqs oil production for the next 8 to 10 years. This info is available on the net and on the news..its simple addition and subtraction.
Now if you are to talk about the value of having a stable and steady oil supply from that region you may be able to make a very good case economically.
Its easy to parrot what you are led to believe and being told that the U S is in it for the oil is an easy sell.
Truth is you are being manipulated to beleive that crap.
Its because of alot more than oil. Take some time to look into it before you beleive the crap you are fed by all sides.
