Hi everyone. Heres my question. If i have a nissan 240SX and I wanted to put and SR20DET in it would i need to by a new tranny or will the tranny from the KA motor work? and What do u think would be the best wheel and tire package for a 240SX convertable? Peace to all.
 
While I've got little knowledge of the KA motor it does stand to reason that it would be very simular to the SR20 and CA18 both of which are used in the 180 and 200sx's. There for I would presume the transmissions are interchangeable.
 
sadly the KA was originally a pickup truck engine/tranny... tho i can't say for sure if they are interchangeable.. but i HIGHLY doubt it... they are diff series engine KA vs SR... i know RB25 transmission can be swapped onto a RB26dett inorder to fit it into other nissans.. but regardless the SR transmission ratio's are FAR superior and i would recommend it..

I run 255's on the back and 225's on the front of my SX... (17" rims)
