I love dream car questions. Dream starting grid. Dream touge run. Dream garage. Dream road trip car. I keep running into this problem of balancing reality with it though. It's like more details about this "dream world" need to be known. Am I as rich as Bill Gates? Can I drive other cars sometimes? Will these cars be road legal when laws change? Is the race for just me or do I make it an event?

It gets silly when I start thinking of all the tiny things that can make a difference in the decision. What do you think?

Not really sure what you're on about. Explanation?

PS: This reads like a Nigerian scam...

Why have limits at all if it is a dream option? I don't know if you're relating this to GT5 though or what, because there is no single game released that would ever let you experience your dreams...... a dream is too complex, it's like if I dream that PD would make all cars premium and add a bunch more.. it's not going to happen ever unless I join PD and start modeling for them, or wait for another game in which I could sim the particular car I had in mind in that new game (GT6?). The only other option would be to become proactive enough to find the owner of a car and tell him I'm borrowing his car and bringing to some track, or if you're rich enough you could very well purchase a car. Just because a car is illegal on the road doesn't mean you have to only dream about it, there are ways to get a car to a track and use it legally. Both your imagination and your reality are what you make of it. Just don't forget that it takes skill to be actually driving and racing, sometimes the best solution is to leave it to the professionals and keep dreaming. Thus, dream questions. Also that's not to say that you are not skilled enough to be racing the car, it's more of a safety concern, it's simply easier to drive in a sim / your imagination because there are no consequences..

I'm talking about threads like If You Could only Drive One Car for the Rest of Your Life, What Would it be?

There are some people taking it as a very realistic and practical question. They are talking about gas, a family, reliability, etc. People who talk about having a super car are passed off as not understanding the real world and being too young to understand. I think there is a misunderstanding about the question and questions like this in general.

To bring this back to GT5, there are lots of wishlist for tracks, wishlist for GT6, etc. Somehow people try to judge these wishes but against no standard criteria.

Sure, I wish GT6 had every car in the universe and came with a free racing station but I've gotta think about how down to earth am I going to bring my answer? It's ultimately up to me. If I make it too realistic, I've lost the fun point of thinking about an ideal car that I would love to spend every day with.

Hopefully, I cleared some things up.

I think you shouldn't take it so seriously. I had a large complicated answer but dreams have no limit.... that's why they are dreams and not reality. Do not confuse yourself with the two; people that actually want to make their dream a reality and have no skills to do so will learn the hard way.. it's why sports car companies have to run hundreds of safety tests, and I'll leave it at that.
