So GT7 has been giving me fits lately, and the probability has been increasing over time. It plays fine, but it's more to do with booting-up and updating/applying cars' liveries*. I think it's time for a fresh install. I am not too concerned about losing progress, either 1P or Sport mode as everything is backed up on the PSN cloud. However, I do have a couple other concerns. If I uninstall and reinstall the game:

-Will I lose all my saved race photos?**
-Will I lose all my saved replays?**
-Will I lose all of my saved liveries? Even the ones I've downloaded from others but slightly modified for my use?

Admittedly, I am a bit paranoid about doing the uninstall/reinstall because ya never really know until it's too late. Digital Edition on PS5 if it matters.

*I'd say 25% of the time I try and launch the game it just spins indefinitely. I'll quit out and try again, 95% of the second time it works. If not, I have to do it again and it's never taken more than three tries.

It is also not allowing me to update liveries, change oil, etc. When I go into those interfaces, I get the same GT7 buffering logo indefinitely again. I have to back out and try again but it rarely works. There are a couple different way's I've been able to increase the probability of it working, but it's getting quite old. It's a crapshoot, as sometimes it does but often it does not. Hoping a reboot of the game will fix these issues.

**I realize I can "share" them but I am speaking specifically of the ones I've not shared. That being said, many of the liveries I cannot share as someone else made the base and I just made some changes. Seems benign enough but I've got a lot of time in making updates in different colors/configurations. Losing these is what concerns me more than anything.

Anyone have similar experiences and find a different fix? Or done the uninstall/reinstall that fixed them?

PS - I did a search but didn't find anything regarding my specific questions. I did see I'll lose my custom races but I am not worried about that.

I can answer the liveries one since I have uninstall and install GT7 a few times this year Digital version.

Answer is no you wont lose any livery you have created rather there share or not. And you wont lose any liveries you have save from the community.

For anyone who's wondering - or for future people who may find this thread in a search - I did the uninstall/reinstall today. Was much more straight forward than I was thinking.

When was all said and done I went to load the game and got the infinite spinning logo thing right off the bat, so that's cool. :boggled: I then rebooted the PS5 due to the big install and then it fired up the first time so I guess time will tell as to whether or not that issue is fixed.

All my liveries were still there but I lost the preview to them; it just shows a black box. The only way to get them back is to apply a livery, go to edit it, and hit save (even if you've changed nothing). The little preview will then become visible for only that livery. Quite inconvenient, but at least they're still there.

All [non shared] photos and replays are gone.

I didn't do much in the game yet but everything else seems to have continued right where it left off. I am just hoping the boot-up and livery glitch has gone away.
