Quick Ghost Question

So in the settings for controller you can assign "ghost" to a button. I did so, and playing online tried holding it down. The car did not look to go into ghost mode, and I didn't want to just start ramming people to test it out. I know hitting start puts the car in ghost mode, just wondering if this was a separate button that would ghost the car while you are still driving.

Has anyone used this themselves and had more luck?
 
Wow, did not see that one coming.

On the odd chance that you're serious about this... the Ghost button simply enables and disables the ghost car that you can chase when in time trial mode, so that you can turn it off when you are really close to it if it distracts you. I actually wish it had three modes, so that if you wanted to be super precise it wouldn't disappear when it is close enough to overlap your car.
 
HA! That make way more sense, thanks. Never noticed it before in the button configuration, first thought of ghosting online since I've been playing online a bit recently.
 
This has to go down as one of the funniest genuine posts i've read on here in ages! :lol:

As much as I enjoy racing my own ghost there's nothing worse than trying to brake and hit apexes when you're right on top of the ghost so it sometimes needs to go.
