Quick Match issues (I can't be the only one!)

Did a search and all (somewhat related) issues were coming up for Open Lobby...

So I got pretty jazzed when I saw the 500pp, played selected car show up in Quick Match recently. So I jump in my BRZ and git ready. Sad trombone ensues as I can't be "matched", or get booted to the Q.M. main screen. This all started with the latest batch of Quick Matches, all prior Q.M. events have run smoothly.

Now, I've reset the connection on my PS3, powered down and reset my router (Wireless), cleared cache and whatnot. When I log in and test my connection all is good (excepting PSN connection fail, though this has always been the case and never had a problem in any lobby prior).

This is quite frustrating as I rarely go into Open Lobby, which is accessible, and Quick Match is my only real Online fix (and a way to pick up some cash). Not that I want other folks to have the same issue, but I hope I'm not alone and someone out there is working on a fix.

Help? Feedback? Someone want to sing the same blues with me?

Related Sidenote: All Seasonal Events run smooth as well.
 
If you are having problems with PSN then that could cause the GT6 problems.

Still, GT6 online as always been hit or miss. A wired connection is best but I have had about the same number of problems with both setups.
 
That (PSN fail) is one of the more frustrating things. I've never had a successful connection to PSN when testing connection, so why, now, is there an issue?

Would totally prefer a wired connection but would never hear the end of it if I had a hard line running from the middle of the apartment to the living room lol

Edit: So, for $#!+$ and grins, I ran my spare hard line through my place. Actually got to Member List of participants, watched a couple drop off, then was in the race (holy carp!). Time to contact Interwebz Provider and replace router I'd have to say :/>

Well frack me! Been through numerous steps with my Web provider and Sony U.S.

With Sony finally decided we needed to format my system (no biggie, right?). Figured I may have to redo some events as my last back up save on my thumb drive was a while ago, but meh, I'll cope.... Nope! Thumb drive is nowhere to be found.

Guess I start from scratch :/>
 
it always takes me a good few goes to get in one, unable to tonight but no problem getting on in the lobby, I've tried all of the above to no avail
 
I feel your pain. I have had similar results. The Quick Matches in general don't load correctly the first time but usually will start working with a little persistence. The one you refer to just will not load for me.

I have no lag issues in open lobbies and my network speeds are generally high both uploading and downloading. I am convinced that the issue is on the server end.

I look forward to that new feature functioning better. Hopefully after today's maintenance.
