Well, I can see how this could be a good addition. The way it is implemented now isn't all that great.
At the moment we have 2 races on large tracks with higher powered cars. 1 race on a high speed track with over powered street machines. Then 1 race with the 500PP cars that seem to be the most popular, on a track that doesn't work with the demand. The track choice, with that group of cars would work well if limited to 10 or less. That track IMHO would be better served with the little hot hatches that seemed to have been forgotten in the mix.
To me it appears those 2 lower powered races in the first go around were the most popular. Then one of them disappears & the other is staged on a track that would have served the missing class well. Put the 500PP on Apricot Hill, or somewhere you have a chance to spread them out. The most popular group of cars seemed to be 500PP so spread them out on 2 tracks. I'd think you could keep the servers busy with 2 500PP races, & 2 400 to 450PP races. Then add in a GT500 race, & super car race.
You have more races for the folks just starting out, & that will draw them in. As it is now they try, they get pounded into the wall, shoved off the track. It just leaves a bad taste in their mouth. Why would they want to race online if this is how it is?
They certainly won't enjoy Spa or Silverstone if they can't make one lap without some knuckle head pounding on them like their half wit cousin. They will tell their friends that it was no fun, that everyone was a jerk.
I won't let my grandsons play this the way it is, it would sour them on the whole thing. I would like them to enjoy the game, if that means keeping them away from the online part so be it. That really limits some of the aspects, but I played since GT1 without online features.
I didn't bother with any online stuff till GT6 & that was because I wanted my 15 year goodies.
Sorry this turned into a rant. I really would like to claim this was the best thing since sliced bread, but I can't. It needs a lot of effort put into it to work, & work well. It feels like another let's throw it out there & see if it sticks thing. The first effort was better implemented then the second. A quick bad race is not what people asked for, it seems to be what has been served.
