Pretty sure ther earen't, but is there any available paint chips that contain racing stripes?


Just wondering, and like I said I don't think there is considering I bought cars before that had stripes and never recieved a chip for it. Some cars I buy I never get a normal chip either so....

Yes, they are paint chips that has racing stripes (one example is the Mark IV Red paint chip). But it doesn't really pop up when you apply one onto a car, unless it's on a car that is compatible of having one, like Ford GTs.

What are the chips that have stripes available?



I have the Mark IV and never got a paint chip, probably because I glitched it.

Also, your saying that if a car that isn't compatible with racing stripes, when you apply the paint, they won't show?

No paint chips carry stripes with them; the C5 Z06 has one (and you do get a chip even saying as much), but it won't apply stripes. Rather bizarrely, even to the car itself; if you buy the Z06 with the paint chip, then paint it, you'll lose them.

As for which cars keep their stripes, it's not affected by chips, it's just dependant on cars. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it, either - the Ford GT will keep its stripes if you paint it a different colour (as long as it was purchased with stripes), the 430 Scuderia too, and the Challenger SRT8... but a Viper GTS '02 will lose them.

Wow I never realized the paint system was so screwy. I have painted a few cars and lost stripes but I didn't think much of it until I painted ym Ford GT and it kept them. Wow. Just wow.
