Im gonna be getting my wheel tommorow. I didn't order the shifters because i figured i'd wait for the CSS. Does the clutch still work without the shifters (I got the CSP's) I'm mainly wondering about this for drifting. If i can clutch kick for now that will be fine until i get my e-brake working. Anyone know?

Yes it works without the shifter, Although gt5 doesnt seem to respond the way it should when clutch kicking.

Awesome, thank's alot. Hopefully they come out with some patches for the Fanatecs. I've heard the clutch isn't 'progressive' if you will. it's either fully engaged or disengaged, no slipping it or anything like that.

Its not the fanatec that needs to be addressed, its the way the game calculates traction and what not. The clutch is fully progressive and you can slip it fine, its just when you drop the clutch or give it a good kick, it doesnt break traction like IRL...the motor just loses all its momentum and rev matches to the wheel speed, just like you would expect it to react if you had traction control on and kicked or dumped the clutch in a real car...only with traction control off in GT....if you get what I mean.

Let me see if i'm getting this right, are you guys saying that if i put the clutch in and keep the gas pedal fully depressed i'll see my revs go through the roof?

Yeah man, your thing about the clutch working without the shifter....No, it doesn't.
