hey everyone im new to gt5p (well use to play gt4), anyways i was just wondering what majority of the population here uses proffesional(don't know if thats spelt correctly) i usualy don't but should i use any driving aids in online mode? i heard that there are alot of people that purposly hit you online so ya.... please reply and thanks( oh and if anyone wants to know im usualy on after school on my older brothers account XTsukaikariX he plays to but he hasn't joined the forums, pacific time)

Well most people from this forum use the physics in professional with no aids on except ABS at 1, I think you shouldn't use aids online because doing so will help your time and your skills.

As above, you can go faster without the driving aids on and will help you become a better driver and tuner.

Hi Mizuki,

Tbh, i personally don't notice too much difference between 'pro' and 'standard' physics. It seems 'standard physics gives you some more grip and better brakes (and a special kind of grass called 'tarmac-grass'). so you can use pro-physics, just stay of the grass/sand !

Wrt driving aids, i'm only using abs at 1 like Apollo mentioned, but that's not obliged. If you've never driven without tcs, then don't start online racing without tcs.
The car is quicker without tcs, but that doesn't automatically mean you will be too ;)

Online racing is not the place to get comfortable with driving without (driving)aids, you'll just frustrate yourself and your felow racers, race the setup you are the fastest with, the ones driving without TCS (like me) think they are faster without TCS, prove us wrong ;)

Race you later,

Mindwise

Race you later!

ok thanks for the replies, i didn't mean so much as using the aids to drive, really i hate all of the aids i usually turn them all off, i meant if someone where to hit me purposly should i have some of them on so i don't go flying into a wall, i guess i should have put more detail into that question sorry about that, anyways i guess ill see everyone online i hope somepeople will add me

If they hit you hard you will still fly off the track aids on or not

There is a large difference between Pro and Standard physics, try the M3 challenge at Eiger on both and you'll soon see how much of a difference. It's not just a lack of grip, the car oversteers a lot more.

If you get hit online, you'll probably end up off the track, but don't let that discourage you. It's a lot of fun catching up "rammers" from way back and overtaking them!

seeing that you said you are new at GT5P,I would recomend tryind a lower class car without the aids, maybe fool around with settings, tcs, abs, ratios, etc,at an easier track that you feel comfortable with, then work yourself up from there.Do not go straight into a high horsepower car or a M.R. type car,as this will only get your self frustrated.Hope this helps ya !!!!
