Is there any way I can convert a .gif file (its a quick meme) into a .jpg file? I want to put it in my report.

.GIF files have frames, so I don't think it will be possible to convert it into a .JPG file.

If you load a .GIF into your photo editing program, the first frame would be saved as your .JPG, just do File, Save as, and change the pull-down. You might have to change the image type, as Photoshop (for example) treats .GIFs as indexed color, but you need RGB color to save as a .JPG.

Thought of the same thing. Is there a way to select only a certain frame?

Yes their is.

Select the frame by disable the layesr(should be a blue eye looking thing) you do not want so you are left with the one you do want then select save as.

It might be better to save a .gif as a .png file though. Consider that the png format was devised to be a direct dropin replacement for .gif (except for animation).
