i've searched on the GT3 forums and i can't seem to find the answer to this question so i'l ask it here.
It may be very simple, but how do you get the best possible start at the beginning of a race in gt3. I usually just hold down the accelerator but i'm not sure whether this is the way to get the best start.
The cpu drivers seem to rev up and down or sumthin and i'm just very interested what the best thing to do is.
thnx james

Try this thread, https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/t-41995.html , entitled "Nailing the perfect launch" for tips.

Basically, you hold the rpm's at a certain point to launch without lighting up the rear wheels. What level you have it at depends on the drivetrain, weight, hp, and type of tire. But...if you have any TCS on, just hold it at the redline, and poke the button in when it says go. TCS at 1 will hold down wheel spin on anything up to around 400 hp. As TT3899 said...a good way to start is to just hit the gas around the time the countdown hits 1. This will get the rpm's up to a good level, and HOPEFULLY not burn off the rear tires.

I don't know if this really helps, but I get the gas to be right on the redline point, and when it says "GO" I floor it. I got a wee-bit quicker start with this on B-1, which I did recently because I restarted to get this car that I didn't have.
