Hey, thought you all mightfancy a look at this short video I found on the net. I was after an explanation of the number plates too as the location of the video is apparently Italy, but they all look like British plates. Are they special plates or something?

That's strange, maybe the guy's default location in his account is set to Milan, but the video was taken on a trip? Definitely not Brit plates.

They look like Hong Kong plates to me.

I'd bet on it being filmed in Japan/China judging by the few odd looking vans in the video.

Looks very much like HK, I could think of 1 or 2 celebrities there who could be the owner of some (if not most or all) of these. But then again it could be just a ridiculously rich area in HK.

After a quick google, it does look like they are HK plates. Does anyone have any idea why most of the cars are black though, thats what was weird to me.

Maybe because the owner(s) like that color? Probably wealthy business men own and drive those cars, and black is classy.

It is indeed Hong Kong. Most of those cars belong to an owner on 6Speed.

The confusion with the plates is because the red on white plates are T-plates, used when shifting cars between dealers in Hong Kong. They look very similar to standard Italian plates. As it is also impossible to register a LHD car here, some owners keep the temporary plates on as they can get away with driving them on the roads without officially registering the car. It's not entirely legal to do this and the police are clamping down on regularly driven T-platers now.
