Not sure if everyone knows about this, but if there's a car you want and you choose to get it by shuffling the UCD, there's a way to do this in under 40 seconds. You will need the speed test pack DLC.

1) Enter GT Life main menu.
2) Enter the speed test. Wait for it to appear, then just exit. No need to actually enter the track.
3) Go into your UCD and lo and behold you have 6 new cars added to your lot. This process takes no more than 40 seconds for me. It may be tedious but I've gotten quite a few cars this way and best part, if you can find one low miles, no need to break it in :D

I just timed it. Using this method, going from the menu, to the event, back to the menu took me 36 seconds. Going to License Center>National B License>B-1 and back to menu took me 49 seconds. Not much but if you're going to do this 10 times that over 2 minutes

36 seconds?

36 seconds is apparently all it takes to descend into madness.💡 Looks like I'll just have to beat it in 35!

Just playing around.

You only need to go from "National B License" to "B-1"..

Each loading screen is a day, there's no load screen between the center and "National B license"

Retesting completed! Results below.

a) Going from B License Menu to B-1, back to B License menu took 38 seconds

b) Using the method I described took me 36 seconds.

It seems these methods are quite similar and results may differ from system to system. At least in my method you don't need to wait for the loading screen back to the GT Life menu when you're done "UCD grinding"

*shrugs* On my system it's faster to load the license tests, but given the difference it's a non issue anyway.

Your method may be quicker for getting only one day, but for the complete cycle refresh the license test method is quicker by far.

ITT: Reasons why the UCD is a terrible piece of game design. They might as well have put a button on it saying "Press here to wait 36 seconds". Woo.

Not really, it wasn't intended for this exploit.

The idea is after a "day" of racing you come back and check out the dealership and find they have new stock.

Which at first appears to be a good idea

however, we are talking about over 800 different cars here, many of which appear much less frequently than others

As it stands, people spent exorbitant amounts of time refreshing the UCD looking for the car they (typically) need

its stupid

Not disagreeing.

With the UCD outweighing the premium dealership to the degree it is in this title it's nowhere near as smooth or rewarding.

However - executed right I think it's still a wonderful idea that increases the value of your cars. Even if it's a cheap and shallow method of achieving that goal.

Oops, my collector tendencies are showing

License tests is by far the quickest way, cycle from B1 to B5 then exit, lo and behold, completely fresh UCD.

That's a damn good idea actually, I sometimes get distracted when refreshing the UCD using the license test and forget how far I got.

I think it may be faster to enter a race, start it then quit to the pre race menu and start the race again. Do this 5 times and get back to the UCD.

Where you been, UrieH? That's an old trick! lol!

Honestly? It just never occurred to me.

The UCD never felt like it was "loading too slowly" at any point.

I'm a passive collector so *shrugs*

Loading 5 different licenses (aka partial tracks) is for me much slower then loading only 1 track and enter that race 5 times.

But why need to use that old method anyway :)
Many ways to get to your right day without using a mass [x] slamming session :)
