Hey guys, I know its probably very easy, but can someone explain to me the proper way to quote multiple people in my one post? I wrapped the quote tags around some text that I copied from another post, but it doesn't put the User's name in it. Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated. Just trying to limit my # of double posts in my thread. 👍

In the bottom right hand corner of a post you'll see 3 symbols - a yellow warning triangle, a speech bubble on speech bubble symbol and the Quote button. If you want to quote multiple posts you want to click on the 'speech bubble on speech bubble' symbol (a little green dot will appear on it) on every post you want to quote. You'll then want to click the Quote button on the last post you want to quote. When the 'Reply to Thread' box pops up all of the quotes should be in there already quote wrapped.

Thank you so much! I've been looking for it after I already hit the quote button. Never thought to look for it in the bottom corner beforehand.:dunce:

Just to add to those instructions, you don't actually have to click the "Quote" button on the last post you want to quote - clicking the normal "Post Reply" link will also see the posts inserted.

Really embarrissing this, after being here for 2 years I have only just learned how to do that.

There's not really an "automatic" way to do that with the software. The easiest option would be to simply copy and paste the quoted text (with the tags) back into your message where you want it.

I actually right click and open a duplicate tab (I'm using Google Chrome) and use the second tab to hit the quote button to get the info up including the username, copy and paste it in the first tab where I'm typing my reply in the areas I need to put it. Hit back and repeat as many times as you need for all your quotes then close the 2nd tab to save confusing yourself, you don't want two tabs on the same post reply area. 👍

Interesting, though I'm not sure I understand why you'd do it that way? If I wanted to quote the same post multiple times, I'd hit the Quote button, click inside the post edit box, press Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, and then Ctrl+V to insert as many copies as needed.

Hey, that's what I'm doing.:)

That didn't work when I tried it? It deleted the quote for me.:(

It should work - Ctrl+A highlights all of the text in the box, Ctrl+C copies it to your clipboard, and Ctrl+V pastes multiple copies of it wherever you like.
