Quyestion about the GTR from the time trial special

in the Time Trial Seasonal where you get the GTR that the Europiean GT Academy partisapants got why can't I change my number like the RMs and TCs it is the same type of number, Can someone tell me why we can't change the number?
 
It's not possible because the car is numbered 5 in honor of the game.

Plus that's what the die-cast model was.
 
Mine is #1. As a matter of fact, I was gonna change the number to #5 so it would be like the model car that came with my Collector's Edition, but can't.
