After doing a search on the forum for 'max' to see if there were any replays, I got a bunch of links saying things about 'timer' and such.

Heaven forbid anyone here would use such a thing - but it *may* be a possibility as to explain why it won't load.

But I am trying to find the reason why it won't load, eliminating one thing at a time.
 
Just check veilsidebr's run, it works fine on mine and it's clean.

Well atleast it works for someone.

However, that doesn't explain why it won't load on mine.

So A: problem on my end either via software incompatibility (he said he doesn't update)

B: That timer thing is more common than anyone would want to know (probably not - but it's always a possibility, something I never heard of before today but am now aware of)

C: It's definitely not a 'region code' problem or something like that if B is false. A would be the target there.

D: I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with a problem on my 'end' of a bad max drive, because I've had no problems with my files/etc....

I just uploaded Hugo's replay, but it wouldnt play, ive gone and deleted it in the maxdrive software again, and re uploaded it. now it works.

Edit, Hugo's wont play again, so i will delete it and upload to another mem card.

Edit2, Yes it worked now, Must be something to do with the Memory card, Just wouldnt work :odd:, But worked fine for the second mem card :crazy:

Silly GT4 replay filenameing.

Maxdrive works great for GT3, its just GT4 replays are named gay.

Yep just viewed your replay Fryz 👍 1 tiny touch with the Subaru in 2nd place ... passes no problem :cool:
 
I will give it several more attempts to see if it works. And for sake of 'naming' or anything like that being a factor, it's going on a fresh card.
 
Try it on a 2nd mem card, 99% of the time it always fixes this problem for me, as you saw in my above post.

I backed up a memory card entirely to the HDD.

Put it on a clean memory card, and it worked after that.

Race is clean - I'm surprised I got as close as I did with using 'too long' of a gear after watching that. The car just simply accelerates better with whatever 'top speed' it was set at compared to what I used. (My 'mid' corner speed I carried more - where you go down to 67 in one spot I was taking at 70, but you out accelerate me coming off sections where I don't slow down as much - your end of straight speeds were also +2 or 3 mph compared to mine)

I will fiddle with shorter ratios. (I was using long 280km top speed with 2nd going to ~67 mph, where you are in third clear down somewhere in the 50 mph range)

Excellent time - and you must've gotten a DFP because that was no DS2 if the steering input has anything to say, (although admittedly I haven't watched DS2 times - I just assume the input looks the same as 200 degree mode on DFP. It looks like 900 degree input, but I could be wrong.)

I'm sorry to announce this! .... but I viewed Holl0's replay and I had a situation where I had to ask for other drivers to double check the replay before I DQed the run!

I'll explain some more .... I watched Hugo's replay the other day which has 3 legal contacts ...
1 AI hits him up the ass very slightly and 2 tiny paint rubs with other AI that are barely even causing a scratch



Now tonight I watched Holl0's replay as it has just been posted today ...
It has 3 AI contacts that gained lots of time on lap1.
2 of them are maximizing the bend exit speed after T1 and another where the AI slams into him hard before T2 :( ( The 3rd hit was not involved in the decision to DQ it )

I had 2 other PAL drivers view the replay to at least give holl0 the fact that it has been viewed and judged by more than 1 person! and both agreed on a DQ

It was always gonna cause problems the 3 touch rule and I wish I had never applied it now! ... but I did! .. and I also made examples of valid contact and non valid contact! which most drivers agreed upon.

I know Holl0 has not been around GTP for a few days this week and maybe he never saw the discussions about what was and wasn't acceptable?
...But this run cant be passed for such blatant bad contacts ... Veilside's race was .1 off 1st place and verified 100% clean! ... so it was possible to avoid such large contacts whilst keeping good track speed
I will have to amend the results for Round 1 and points accordingly asap

Sorry it ended up this way Holl0 as I know you're a damn good racer who has just misinterprited the rules / allowances :indiff:

I hope you will continue with the rest of the competition and put this error behind you

I just watched your race Kart .... you had 1 AI touch just before T2 with the Xsara and it is a little bit more than a paint rub ... but! ... It is not as blatant a contact as any Holl0 had with his AI so It will pass by the fact that you used your brakes going into that bend when the contact was made 👍

Thank god we can scrap the silly contact rules I applied for Round 1 in the remaining rounds :)
