The Pros:
Turbocharged
Arguably prettier
4WD

The Cons:
Right Hand Drive
Hard to Import
Not US Emissions certified (say you wanted it for a daily driver - it won't pass)

V35 Skyline 350 GT

The Pros:
VQ Engine better than ever
We can actually drive one (Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe)
Son of Z

The Cons:
No 4WD Option (for the coupe... for now)
No Nismo version planed (for the G35)
Looks depart from traditional Skyline
 
Actually, there is a Nismo version of the G35. However, you have to buy the parts and put them on yourself.

And I'm pretty sure that the Coupe is available with ATESSA.

Also, the G35 and the BNR34 aren't a fair comparison. The real car to compare with are the Skyline GT-S / GT-t lineup.
 
I'd buy a G35 before I'd even consider a R-34.

It doesn't cost $90,000. It's far more practical. Every 14 year old tool - and there little brother - doesn't want one. And, in my opinion, it looks 10x's better.

I've never been a huge fan of either, but I'm a much bigger fan of the G35 than I am of the R-34 Skyline - never have liked 'em.
 
Ill take the R34, I dont have to worry about this emissions BS (Like you do in the US).

Did you get Aus spec R33/34's or just imports? Because the majority of th R34's here are UK spec. :odd:

Although i'm kinda pissed that they have seemed to not bother with the V35, or whatever the **** it's called here. Because I really do like the look of the thing.
 
you can have a r34 in florida i think.........we have no emissions tests.

i know someone with a r32 and r33 so why not a r34....

We dont get Aus spec GTR's (Exept a limited run of R32's), they are all imports, but we have plenty of em. We did get S14's and S15's though. A friend of mine from Nissan said we (AUS) will be getting the V35 sometime.

The only reason we got UK spec Skylines was because of Gran Turismo, people saw them in the game and then started importing em, so Nissan UK decided to bring them over here. You mean actual Silvias? We got a 200SX S14 with a SR20DET and no S15, barring grey imports. I'm assuming the Aus spec R32 was due to it's godzillaness in touring cars at the time.

We got 200sx's (S14 & S15 both SR20DET's) from the factory, Yes the R32 was from the touring cars.

Most states in the U.S don't have emissions testing, mine included. As for the car, even though I would get harassed by every teen-beat kid that seen me, I'd go with the R34. Insane grip, tremendous power potential, and you are guaranteed not to see one on every other street.

And that's the sedan. But at that level of income, I recon they'd go straight for the throat and buy a Q45.

I'm all over the V35. First off, if I hit it big I'll take that over a Z, it's a little nicer dressed than a Z, it has 2 more seats, it's a luxury nameplate and it's not well known to the kids. Sleeper. Pure sleeper.

I would get harassed by kids, because it would most likely be the first time that they seen a Skyline in person. It's not every day that a guy with a bunch of tattoos breezes by you in an R34, while you are with your mom in the station wagon.

I would get harassed by adults, because they would constantly try to race me. At street races or the drag strip, a Skyline will stick out like a neon sign. Or better yet, a neon target. And everyone want's to hit the target.
