Hey all. I am r34love. But my Steam name is dctoe. I race with the XFEL (Xtremely Fun Endurance League) in Gran Turismo 6, and have decided to expand and develop for the league in Assetto Corsa.

One of the primary functions of this thread is to keep my colleagues in the XFEL up to date on my progress with the game, both in terms of performance and mod development, with an eventual eye towards a possible private server for the club. At that time, invitations will be open to join the AC-XFEL. In the meantime, if you play GT6, check out our thread, available through the link in my sig.

See you on the track!

A few examples of the cars I am working with for my friends over on the GT6 side of the league.

This Sareni Camaro GT3 comes with plenty of livery, including the ALMS schemes, that I DL's as a mod. This is a Kevin Harvick Tribute mod that someone made that I think is very fitting. This thing drives great and sounds even better. The downshift exhaust, the pops and backfires, the correct trans noise. She's a real beauty!

This is that C6R in mixed pits during a Quick Race at Dustbite Speedway It's a fictional NASCAR style mile oval with a tunnel on the back straight. It's still early in it's build, but I'm running it so that I can give feedback to the developer. Good track though.

A great shot from my C6R before the race. The rearview camera works fine, it just doesn't get caught in the screenshot mode. This car also handles well, and sounds like it was recorded in-car during a race. I've had to make very few adjustments to this car. Very well built.

This BMW 1M comes with the game and with this livery for the S1 version. One of the view BMWs I actually like. I love this wrap on this car.

Interior detail from the 1M. The interior modelling of these cars has been tremendous!

Hey bro! As a matter of fact yes. Sitting here being pissed at Kurt Busch big time! You would think Millions of $$$$ would be enough to make a man keep his hands to himself?! And ER and JK right in the middle of it! Let me get a couple of shots posted here.

This is from a set of cars. The BRM is the Brazilian Touring Car series. There's a Ford Focus, Mitsubishi Lance and Toyota Corolla to match, with multiple skins.

Formula Truck Dustbite Speedway.jpg
My Volvo Formula Truck in the tunnel at Dustbite. This is a fan made track that reminds me of Phoenix, with the addition of a tunnel on the backstretch. The truck is an import from the Formula Truck 2013 game.

Porsche_997GT3RSR Pace Park.jpg
The Porsche 997 GT3 RSR at Pace Park. That's a fictional track that I understand is used for a lot of the league competitions. I'll try to post some track maps soon.

Finally a MOPAR in the game. There's a dude that goes by the name, "smallblockhero" who made one, and a Yenko Camaro I have. His work is good. This is at Grobnik which is a real track based in Croatia. Strange I know, but it's a cool track with lightly banked curves and some good up and downhills.

smallblock just maded a Trans Am set that I just installed and will be testing tonight. The cars include:
AAR Cuda
AMC Javelin
1970 Camaro
1969 Corvette
1970 Trans Am
Mustang Boss
Opel Commodore
He says all the cars are within 10% of each other, so the racing should be good.

I also have the Viper Venom GT2? or 3? I forget, but I'll run it tonight and get some screens for you.

How's it looking. I heard they delayed P-Cars again. I'm running short of caring anymore. The AC community is growing and is very serious. If it stays that way, I doubt that I will care about anything else soon.

Server Update

I did get a dedicated server running last week, using a computer that I thought wasn't strong enough to do it. My friend Sophie (yes a girl) and I ran BMW M3 E30s around Monza for a while until she got disconnected. I believe all the connections were good because I did very extensive testing and documenting until we were able to connect using a password and run a 7 minute practice session followed by a 3 lap race. She got dumped at lap 2. But she's a helluva driver. Swedish, and as competitive as Danica. But with tougher skin.

What I believe however is that this computer isn't strong enough. It's a single core and I saw some CPU spikes when I was looking at the logs later. I've got a Pentium 4 in my closet that I'm going to drag out and test next week to see if it's powerful enough to do the job. Provided the memory is enough, I think it will if I network it directly to my router. But it ran flawlessly otherwise, with no lagging or glitching. If I can prevent CPU overloads, then I think we will be fine.

Otherwise, I may look into leasing a shared game server somewhere depending on the pricing. It would be worth it to me to have a place were we can build a team and work and practice whenever we want. Agravated aardvark is there and I've raced with him a couple of times. He also drifts. He also only lives about 100 miles from me. So that's handy.

Well that's what I know for now. Any questions for me?

Just an FYI, most of those cars are "illegally" ripped and generally won't be used in most league racing (most people frown on this type of modding). To each his own though.
