Dunno how impressive it is, but I thought this was impressive, as I could only get the Suzuki up to 700 or so.

Slammed everything, set rear DF to max, and played with the gearing a tad using the auto set and final gear trick to make them wider (4th gear maxes at ~270)

Wasn't on the max speed test though, so I don't know exactly how far up it went into the 900's. It was on the PL GT All Stars race, saved the replay. I think it hit it at the back strait on lap six, and I KNOW it hit 900 on lap 8, forget which strait, because I watched the replay and saw it 9XX for sure. Lap 6 was so quick I'm not sure it did.

Really? I've never heard of an R390 getting a wheelie...

Neither have I. GT-1 and Suzuki are the most common. I don't really use the wheelie trick. I did it once with the Escudo, but it was boring and I haven't done it since.

i got the Suzuki up over 1500 mph it was easy maybe no one has tryied this probley has play a fast kach up race with two players 4 is the best and get in last place and start a flying you can pull it up quicker in the sraits and get a much higher speed just try it if you are good you will hit over 1500mph like i did
(and so what if i cant spell)

hmmm... what was the gearing you used for the escudo? I couldn't get it to accellerate to 230 mph fast enough out of the corner to get over 600 by the time it hit the wall...the R390 accellerated much faster for me

the settings for the wheelie are:

Take all the spring settings (first page of the tuning screen) and put all the sliders to the left (the bound and rebound don't matter, and neither do the stabilizers)

then put front downforce to it's lowest, and rear downforce to its highest

turn ASM and TCS to 0, put the VCD (the thing that controls power to front/rear drives on 4wd) to 10%

put autoset gearing on 48

the front end will start to lift at 230 MPH

I think you're lying when you say a 787b can do it...I think it's highly unlikely with the 5 gears for it to get to a wheelie in time...

Ok, thanks. Actually, though, after I posted that I did a search and figured it all out. I had only heard of people going 1200 KPH , not mph. Yeah, the Wheelie in the Escudo was cool, I got to 506.3 mph. Does anyone know how to convert kph to mph and vice versa? (oh, by the way (off topic) is anyone here an IGN Insider? please PM me if so.)

you can go over 1500mph not kph just try what i siad and it will work and even by myself i have got over 980mph thats easy you just have to hit the cuves right or you wont hit over 700mph if you hit over 700mph you are starting to get it just mess with the turning a bit and it will work a easy way to get over 900mph is to use the e-brake to keep in the lower part of the cruve and when you got aboght 5 % more of the cruve left then you mash the gass and go fo it try going backwards on a max speed test it takes aboght 2 laps to get up to 900mph but its easy

I got about 1200 km/h on a race through a slipstream of a few cars...:)

And for people who don't have a calculator, just do times 1.5 :)

I'd need a calculator for dividing...:| :p I'm bad at math.

Viper, if you've got an x-port I'm about to win a 787b tomorrow when I do like the wind race and I'll see if I can't wheelie the thing and give ya a replay, I want to see if it'll beat my R390's top end 8)

edit: thought I already had it lol... still have to win it... tomorrow

Nup, I don't have an X-Port...you can try all you want, but I reckon you won't wheelie the thing.

It *DID* wheelie, but not for very long. It wheelied just in time to bring it into a full wheelie, bounce the backend once, and then hit the wall. 318 top speed.
The problem I had with it was it didn't have that much HP. (mid 900) and it needs a couple more HP to really get it going. I don't think it was the 5 gear tranny that limited it, just the HP, as I can get 5th gear tall enough to go 400 MPH with the tranny trick, if it just had the HP to push it into a wheelie in time to reach that speed.

Another thing that hindered the wheelie, the R390 and the 'scud start to lift up at 230 MPH, this didn't start to lift until 250 or so.

Here's a replay for anyone with NTSC and X-port/Sharkport

Wow...well that was unexpected! So you oil changed it and everything?

The 787 CAN be made to wheelie, but in my opinion, it's not worth it.
Nose doesn't start to lift until 250mph... it's already more than 1/2 way down the backstretch. Lucky if you get more than about 300mph before it drops the nose for the corner.

I prefer the GT-One for wheelies... nose comes up as soon as you come out of the turn. Best speed so far was 1285.3mph.

Other cars I have wheelied: C5R- Vette, R390, Camaro Racecar.

Yeah, I changed the oil and put a turbo 1 on it (wouldn't take any higher).

Kodiak, that's exactly what happened on the test, really blows for wheelies. It just doesn't have the HP. I heard the Viper tries to wheelie (the one w/ over 1k HP) but the tail end is too far from the rear wheels and keeps it on the ground.

I think anything with over 1000 HP and adjustable front and rear downforce has the *capability* to wheelie, unless the rear bumper is too far from the rear wheels. But I haven't tried all of them so I couldn't say for sure, just what I figure. Maybe in a couple of days I'll do a comprehensive wheelie test 8)

told u the 787b could juz needs more horses to do it b etter

correction about the scud wheeling at 230
its 228... lol jezz get it right

Yeh, I wouldn't mind a nice little wheelie list...maybe a thread with top speeds for wheelie cars...;)

haha, I dunno if I can get the absolute *top speed* out of any car, it would take a lot of goofing with the tranny to get it just perfect, and then you'd have to have the perfect run... and I'm a very imperfect type of person. 8-P I can tell you what speeds I got out of them after however many runs.

This wheelie list *IS* going to happen. I'm gonna start the testing tonight, most likely within an hour.

A wheelie can be done by any car that is signified by it's speed and has both a front and rear down force option..simple as that

What do you mean by "signified by it's speed..." Doesn't make any sense to me...:odd:

Lol......ok..Now....is the 787B known for being really fast?..uh yeaahhh..Is the R390?...Mmmhmm..Is the C5-R....Yup...is the GT-One.....I think so.

The C5R can do a wheelie?

The point is, you can pretty much get any car with over 300 bhp over the 300 km/h mark...what defines it is also the acceleration of the car at a higher gear...;)
