I'm running the Gran Turismo Championship in the professional league and am about to finish and I quite frankly don't want to do it again so... I'm probably gonna wuss out on the last race though so I can get the car that I want. My question to you all is this:

What would you choose? The R390 or the XJ220.

Now the educated decision is obvious. The R390. It goes a bit faster, is lighter and thus handles better, however, I already have the R390 Race Car, the 787B, and the GT-ONE Race Car and the GT-ONE Road Car. I don't have an XJ220 yet.

The XJ220 Road Car handles like a tank, but it's a pretty car to look at and I've been impressed with it ever since I was a kid, and the Race Car version is just that with a little extra and a paint job.

I guess this is a matter of opinion... Please help.

For pure performance, the R390 will kill the XJ220.

I ended up buying the Jag after I got 100% anyway. I'm a fan of the real life car (although I prefer the XJR15, which whilst in GT2 sadly didn't make it to GT3).

I personally would go for the XJ220, but thats because i just wanted all the british supercars in my garage :P

i never kept the R390 road car, i sold it for quick cash

XJ220 is the best choice

I dig both cars, but the jag has sentimental value, buth is it the road car not the race for the R390, if so then i think go with jag, even though the popular choice is that R390.

Its up to u M8.

I don't have a R390 but I would choose it. The XJ220 is not good for performance cause of it's long wheel base.

I was pretty dissapointed with the Jag its sooo heavy 1300kg for a race car certainly isnt light. See youe convinced me to go and do the GT world championship for the forth time and get me a R390 road car!

Mind you its a bit crappy in untuned form 350bhp

This is comming from a person who has two Jag racecars one standard and the other tuned and set up to the max

Nissan R390 Road car thats what you win from the pro gt world championship. I kept getting it when I did the random trick, oh and aboout 5000000000 GT40 racers

The Jag is the ticket for the professional series race that you need a "normal" car for. You will be unable to modify anything but the tires. It is very skittish, it either understeers or tries to spin if handled roughly. The R390 road car is very quick. Unfortunately, stock, it tops our at 142mph, which isn't enuff for the longer straights.
Remember to switch to the hard compound tires.

yeah but its the XJ220 Race car that you win not the road car and you cant enter race cars in the Polyphony digital cup. Anyway the Toyota GT-0ne road car beats the XJ220 road car by miles.

:nissan: R390 anyday dude..... But heck, why not just get both?

The :jaguar: can be bought, (I think) or just do a Championship again to get it......? :gcar:

Hey troy, an FYI for you and anyone else wondering about the GT40 road car....

Somehow it is considered a modded car, even stock from winning it, so it cannot enter the Polyphony Cup. I have tried it, and I was mad that it didn't work. That was my original choice for the PD Cup, but I settled on the GT-One Road Car anyway.

Now for this thread's question, add the Jaguar Race Car to your collection. If you need a good road car for the PD Cup, go win the GT-One Road Car. It works miracles. Later!! :burnout:
