Hi,

13891390461_e1826e058b_o.jpg

I just decided to jump from PS3 to PC Gaming (due to G27 reasons) and after getting my new PC, I ended up with zero money. That's what led me to find RaceRoom Racing Experience.

I installed it correctly, managed to make it recognize my G27 and all good, wanted to give it a quick test and notices a couple of things:

What's a good wheel basic setup? (There's tons of options I'm familiar with and although default feels great It's nice to know how to make it better and then just fine tune it to my preferences)

Button configuration? I tried to test the prototype in the hillclimb course with everything on default and always got DSQ for jumping the start, regardless of what I tried (Tried everything, from "neutral until greenlight" to NFS style start, to doing nothing and everytime I got DSQ), so I'm guessing it has to do with a launch or start button, but don't really know...

And that leads to the final and most important question:
Where to start? I only have the free content (for now) and this game lacks a lot in terms of helping the user familiarize with the game. Where does the learning curve begins? What is the natural progression of the game, how does everything really work?

I'd love to give this game a proper chance, but most info around is pretty old and it seems it has improved a lot specially after the march (2016) update. Some say the FFB got even better than AC? Can anyone here confirm that?

Does anybody here play R3E?

Sorry for the long post but I'm lost...

Hi

I would get the DTM and ADAC championship packs. That's only because I'm into GT3 and DTM cars.

+1

@EmArA @Ak1504 @GranTurismoFive I see you play this game... ? Any advice?

i bought DTM experience 2015 + nurburgring nordschliefe track as first purchase then went for the formula RaceRoom 2 then ADAC GT masters 2015 then Nurburgring legends (only available on steam).
Lately i ended up buying 98% of the tracks and cars while they were on sale. Yeah the ffb is that good imo :dopey:
I would advise you to try one of the competitions or even test drive some of the cars (you can test drive all the cars before purchasing).

Hi,

I just decided to jump from PS3 to PC Gaming (due to G27 reasons).

Congrats, this was a great decision.
PS4 is good and all but PC gaming is in a different league. my 2 ps4s are gathering dust for some time now.
RaceRoom is a good place to start.
If you get Assetto corsa then you will definitely like it as well.
Look out for the steam sales when buying a new game.

The regular Steam sales are Winter/Christmas (December), Summer (July), and Autumn/Halloween (October/November). Sometimes there is a Spring or an Easter sale.

There is a forum section for RaceRoom racing experience by the way

That's great advice, I'm taking my time to read and setup everything and definitely and my next purchases will be Asetto Corsa and Dirt Rally...

I will test some cars. How do you know when content is on sale? Does Steam have alerts for that aswell?

Yeah, if you add a game(s) to your wishlist, you will get an email once it(they) is(are) on sale.
