R8 Race Car '01 - Both red and yellow nose

Free for doing the borrow-glitch with.

I have been grinding away with level 23 tickets for a while now with the hope of getting both the red nose and yellow nose R8 race cars. Been a fan of these cars ever since I saw them run in the ALMS race at Road Atlanta many years ago. Anyhow, this afternoon I finally hit the jackpot and got the red nosed version (I acquired the yellow nosed version 2 weeks ago). So I thought I would share my good luck and put them up for sharing with friends for those that like to use the borrow glitch. Just send me a FR at AFTAC_99104 (with a note indicating the reason for the FR) and have at it. :cheers:
 
I've seen a lot of people say grinding. What exactly is grinding?
And also whats the borrow glitch?

Borrow Glitch (Sponging):

Grinding:

Step 1: Backup Save Data in Saved Data Ultility (XMB Menu).

Step 2: Enter game, and open desired ticket for car wanted. (More details on how to get a certain car here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=199650)

Step 3: If desired car obtained, continue playing game.
If not, exit game and Copy Save Data back to your PS3.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 until car wanted is obtained.

Yeah, if you want to borrow it for a short time that's fine. It won't stay in my shared garage for long though as I rotate other vehicles in and out all the time for other friends to borrow.
 
Man, I am so jealous of your red '01 R8. I have been trying to get that car forever. I've been cycling the level 23 ticket and I've gotten the yellow one 3 times now. And it's been in the OCD once or twice and my UCD once or twice and it's been yellow every time. I've never borrow glitched before cause it seems like a pain, but I may take you up on the offer if this thing doesn't turn up soon. How many miles are on your red one?
 
I know what you mean Striker. It took me what must have been 100 tries before I got the one with the yellow nose and I was afraid I was going to get more yellow nosed versions while trying for the R8 with the red nose. To my surprise I never got another yellow nosed R8. The second R8 I got was the red nosed version (after about 50 to 60 tries).

As far as mileage they are still 0/0/0. I will probably do the borrow glitch with my second account so I can have a copy of them over there too. Then I can just borrow them back when I want to so I keep them as 0/0/0 on my main account. :)

Anyhow, if you decide to give up and want to borrow glitch them just send me a FR. Always happy to help out a fellow Audi fan. 👍

Thanks for letting me know it's actually possible to get the red version from the level 23 ticket, I was beginning to give up hope. Now to drive it like mad around the ring!
