I just got the Audi R8 Race Car(Audi Playstation Team Oreca) '05. I took it to GT Auto and went to the body mods section (I always check on every car if they can add body kits). To my surprise, there was something I could add, but not much. There were a selection of three wings. When I go over them, I see no physical change in the car whatsoever. Does anybody know what these wings do to the car? The rear wing it comes with already is adjustable so I don't understand why I would pay 200,000 credits to put a replica wing on.

I don't understand why you would spend 200,000 credits on a wing, for any car. That's outrageous!!

This is in another thread already. Not sure where it is. If anyone can link it, please do.

Put the extra wing on its worth it on curcuits with plenty of corners, dont need it on Le_sarthe it will slow you down on the mullsaine. You can actually feel the extra grip on the Nordshleife.

It's a glitch. Pescarolo C60 Hybride can do the same thing.

It's not a glitch, mid season in 2005, the rules for the LMP's changed allowing greater downforce from the wings, the wing upgrade in GT Auto just reflects this change in regulations.

Ok, I can understand that, but then why is there three different wings I can add onto it?

Because you get options of which one you like best. Even if there's no difference between options you still get options :P

Except it gives the 2005 models much more rear downforce than the prre-2004 models, which is absurd; even ignoring the fact that assuming PD included the GT Auto option intentionally implies an attention to detail far away higher than they gave to any of the other Standard models in the game (or most of the Premium race cars, for that matter).
