Hey guys, some strange concurrence of events have put me on the PC racing path for the first time since, well really since ever for PC sim racing. With my Fanatec wheel going south on me and having to get a new iMac because the drive on my old one failed and having my spare G27 still boxed up untouched with only a few hours on it and my homemade sim rig needing some repairs (all happening probably within the span of a few days) has left me to PC racing on the iMac with the G27 wheel and Clubsport pedals.
I have to say it's been great. The PC realm just brings another dynamic to the sim racing genre. Just a fantastic experience. As much as most of us think Race Pro is the king of console racing games as far as sims go Race Pro doesn't do justice to it's cousin Race 07. Race Pro is a good taste of it but I have to say only a taste.
I'll still be a primary Forza player as PC racing as I'm doing it is not practical for the long term. Once I get settled with Fanatec, get a real rig or repair mine and box up the G27 again and send the iMac back to it's regular duty it'll be primarily console racing for me again but I suspect a few times a week I'll move on over to the iMac and enjoy some of this great racing.
