We have 2 civic type R (EK)'s .. a 1997 and a 1998. not sure which to use
and "Top speed open" doesn't appear to be an option.

Frankly, I myself have never run an arcade mode race, so I'm not too familiar with the settings. I tended to put "Open" in whenever people put words like "no limits" or "driver's preference". Open simply means that the setting can be put however the driver likes it.

I'll get Team GTP to give details on which Civic.

CAR: Nissan 350Z Gran Turismo LM Edition

SPECS:
Mode: Arcade Single Race (5 laps)
Modifications: Full Quick Tune (+20,-10)
Tires: Sport Soft, S3
Settings: TCS & ASM open, top speed open
AI Settings: -10, AI tyres: R1 Racing super hard
No tire wear, no time penalties

Since this says race tires i assume its the 350Z Concept LM (red, white, and blue#75) and not the 350Z GT4 limited edition road car?

No, I would not agree. This scenario is Street Car / Street Tires. My understanding was that the AI tires could be specified; these should be set to R1s, but the Contestant is specified as Sports Soft, S3. I have never driven in Arcade mode so I do not know, personally, if AI tires can be selected directly.

I just entered this race and the AI is on sports soft tires.I also checked in the options and found no way to set the Ai tires, not that this field of cars need R1 tires anyway (83 Civic,Vitz 1.5,Mini etc).

AI's tires depends on your choice when you choose your car and your own tires. If you choose Sports Hard, AI's gonna have Sports Hard.

OK thats sounds good, then how do i get R1 tires on a Arcade 350Z road car? :indiff:

hmm....well, so R1 tyres for AI must be a mistake from the driver who submitted it...sorry
it's the tires I specified for our car

Tires: Sport Soft, S3

This is supposed to be the '98 Civic Type R (EK). Top speed setting does not apply.

Maybe the '98 part could be edited into the first post . . . ?

All updates to date reflected in first post.

Polls open! I anticipate leaving them open for about 48 hours, but that can be discussed.

Of all the great races in this one how the hell did we end up with a grocery getting Civic. :yuck:
